Quick Q Update

DSC_1272

Q's ~60 day ultrasound was yesterday to see where we are with healing of her suspensory.

No huge miracles have occurred, but the suspensory is looking better and showing more organization. It is absolutely NOT worse. Improvement > worsening condition.

All she really needs is time it seems. So, while patience sucks, that's what we are doing! Two months down....ten to go.

  2. Here's to improvement, however slight! It's so hard to be patient, but hopefully the long-term prognosis is good!

  3. That is good news... or at least not bad. My horse, Ink, is 5 or 6 months out from her hind suspensory and has happily graduated from the small paddock to large group pasture rest. Can't wait to start riding her again, but I'm giving her extra time off in hopes of a full recovery back to 50s... patience is so hard though! Hang in there

    1. Oh! A hind suspensory and in an endurance mount? Please tell me more! I feel like I don't hear enough (if any) anecdotes about hind suspensory injuries from folks...

  7. I am so far behind on blogs that I have no clue what is going on, but I'm happy there is progress. I'm so sorry she's injured. Chrome has a suspensory injury too.... it sucks. :(
