I'm so happy to not be active on FB. I...Yeah... I'm so happy to not be active on FB. I'm a happy little lurker for a few minutes a day. As a result, I'm not nearly as triggered or jumpy as I used to be about things thanks to that. It's really impressive how much true nonsense is out there. I get my news predominantly from NPR/BBC and some NYT, so when people message me all hot-to-trot about something and I haven't seen it on one of those news outlets (and browser searches turn up nothing either!), it's so much easier to just pass it off as absurdity. No stress needed! Social media has transformed into a cesspool of nasty these past 5-8 years. I miss the earliest days of FB and IG.Liz Stouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18267806576736655184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543945977774319437.post-76394213795008495042020-12-21T09:14:01.438-05:002020-12-21T09:14:01.438-05:00Your year has been beautiful, even if it's not...Your year has been beautiful, even if it's not what you had planned. It has been healthier for me to slow down and step away from things that maybe weren't so healthy but were just accepted - and I hope that isn't criticized as the world moves on post-COVID. It has been great to follow your blog and your horses and your beautiful photos. That's been my go-to for training my huskies through the years, and I've seen great results (they come when called and are easily called off of any sort of animal that interests them). That said, Taiga's personality is one of more playfulness than predator for cats, so she was pretty easy.Liz Stouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18267806576736655184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543945977774319437.post-65073483448265700522020-12-16T14:54:08.327-05:002020-12-16T14:54:08.327-05:00I'll be honest, I've had it titled in my d...I'll be honest, I've had it titled in my drafts like this for almost 18 months lol!!Liz Stouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18267806576736655184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3543945977774319437.post-80470158424270507762020-12-16T14:36:25.277-05:002020-12-16T14:36:25.277-05:00Love this recap! I feel the same way about my mental health this year - it was such a great, unforeseen opportunity to really work on myself and reprioritize my days (aka way less social media for me too. Truly life changing!)

What a blessing to have had that timing with the horses being home. My dog is only 1/4 husky but man does that seem to be the primary factor into her personality. My cats are chicken so they just run, which makes her so eager to chase. I want them to just smack her so she learns they have boundaries! But any tips would be helpful.
